Over break...finish lit circle book. Read and post on Erasmus's In Praise of Folly. Also, find a video clip of your favorite speech. Use www.americanrhetoric.com or any other site that works for you. Post it to the Ning. No doubles~review the others before you post!

Monday: Discussion of 1984 ~ Issues...Synthesis. Review of samples from Postman prompt. Score own essay. Pick next book.

Tuesday: Bring all research materials to class, including Brave New World and 1984. Work on Synthesis question. Due Tuesday, March 23.

Wednesday: In-class AP Multiple Choice Test

Thursday: Review MC test.

Friday: Read "The Penalty of Death" and "The Unquiet Death of Robert Harris." Examine effectiveness of arguments. Complete essay #4. HW: Complete synthesis packet on issue.

Week of 3/8-3/12

Monday: Finish Fallacy presentations; evaluation of letters due: identify fallacies and rhetorical appeals and determine effectiveness.

Tuesday: Analyze sample essays from Lapham prompt. Score own.

Wednesday: Read and discuss essay, "Should This Student Have Been Expelled?"; letter response due Friday.
