Monday: Steps in Speeech Analysis: http://prezi.com/tmf3b5d-9p-y/. Discuss Judge Sweat's Whiskey speech. HW: Annotate "A Time to Rejoice, and a Time to be Heartbroken." HW for Wednesday: Write a rhetorical analysis of the speech you posted to the Ning, proving that it is the best speech ever. Post it as a comment on the video.
Tuesday: Discuss "A Time to Rejoice, and a Time to be Heartbroken." Discuss Queen Elizabeth speech.
Wednesday: Rhetorical analysis of classmate's posted speech. HW: MLK's "I Have a Dream" annotation.
Thursday: View and discuss "I Have a Dream." View and discuss RFK's speech on the death of MLK.

Let me know if you are attending the full-length practice exam on Saturday morning. Yes, I know it's the morning after the senior formal. Tough decision, I guess! The exam is right around the corner! We will start testing at 8; I will bring bagels (yes, that's a bribe). Testing takes 3 hours and 15 minutes, so you'll be done by 11:30. I need confirmation by Thursday.
